Through this gorgeous environment weaves a clever, charming and puzzling adventure. I’m not sure if the crash could be blamed on the game or the OS (as a lot of apps seem to crash lately) but not saving is not cool.Lumino City is a wonderful puzzle adventure crafted entirely by hand out of paper, card, miniature lights, and motors. The game didn’t periodically save my progress, nor did it save my progress after completing a puzzle. Meaning I had to play the tedius ferris-wheel and guitar puzzles again. I encountered one serious problem, the crashed and, when I relaunched it, I found myself two puzzles back from where I was when I had started playing. I have no idea how the binary punchcard puzzle is supposed to work - and I used to be a programmer (and used punchcards a long time ago). There is a help manual, where you have to figure out which page to turn to by solving a math problem, but it just gives you the solution. There are no hints or clues on what you are supposed to do if you get stuck. The puzzles range from easy to practically impossible. The story is weak and pretty much hides in the background. This is a visually intriguing game based on an unusual concept and well-designed. (A few puzzles, like the Spinning House, are really cool.) I also very much appreciated the finishing touches on this game, which are the lovely 2D animated sequences at the start and finish. The difference here is that I plain lost patience with Lumino City’s puzzles: like everything else in this game, they LOOK great, but I found most (not all) of them unoriginal, arbitrary and tedious, and eventually resorted to a walk-through to get past many of them to where Lumino City really shines, which is the visuals and design. Lumino City and Machinarium have fairly similar approaches to the puzzles and are more challenging than Monument Valley. Your mileage may vary.) The obvious comparisons with this game are Machinarium and Monument Valley, which are both extremely accomplished animated stories interrupted by puzzles. (Leaving full screen mode worked around my problem. I did encounter some performance problems when running full screen on a Windows Pro that’s a few years old. One of the best features of the pen launched with the Surface Pro 4 was the tip feel. For pen fans, they’ll be happy to know that Microsoft has not overlooked those other factors with the latest generation. That’s always been the easy specification to quote for a pen, but there is a lot more to a pen experience than the levels of sensitivity. For most people, that’s likely enough, but with Microsoft now courting the creativity crowd, the pen needed to improve further, and the new Surface Pen now offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Surface Pro 3 dropped from 1024 levels of sensitivity of the Wacom powered Surface Pro 2, to just 256 levels, but the Surface Pro 4 brought that back up to 1024 levels of sensitivity. Surface Pro 3 was the first Pro model to drop the Wacom digitizer and move to an N-Trig pen technology, that Microsoft would end up acquiring shortly after. They’ve continually improved the pen and ink on Surface for the last several years, and with the new Surface Pro, there is once again a new, improved pen.Įveryone loves to discuss the levels of sensitivity on digital pens, since unlike their analog cousins, there is always a graduated step, with the hope that there will be a small enough graduation that it’s difficult for a person to notice it. Microsoft has been actively pushing the pen and inking experience in Windows for several years, so it makes a lot of sense that they would offer it in their own hardware products. It feels like there’s almost no doubt that over time, the fabric will get a bit beat up, but it really does offer a nice feel when carrying the Surface Pro, or typing. The coating should also should help with liquid spills, and cleanup can be done with warm water and a mild detergent if needed. There’s certainly going to be some concern about how the fabric cover will hold up after several years of use and abuse, so the new coating should help alleviate some of that concern. The new Alcantara fabric is also covered with a polyurethane coating to improve durability. ![]() It keeps the same design as the previous models, with 1.3 mm of key travel, and edge-to-edge island keys, so there’s not a lot of discuss there, but luckily the previous generation was already excellent. The new Signature Type Cover will be offered in three colors, with Platinum, Burgundy, and Cobalt Blue options. The first Signature Type Cover was added to the Surface lineup shortly after the Surface Pro 4 was released, and it added a touch of luxury with an Alcantara fabric covering the keyboard. Regardless, the latest Type Cover to be offered alongside the Surface Pro is a new version of the Signature model. It’s kind of funny that the current cover is still called the Type Cover, since the Touch Cover hasn’t been offered for several years now. ![]() The very first prototype of the toy is very similar to the way it ultimately ended up, which is extremely impressive for a man who had no history in toy making before. It was started by French electrician Andre Cassagnes, who discovered that he could see pencil marks on a translucent decal while working on a factory light switch plate. The little red framed drawing toy has been one of the most beloved toys of all time. Barrel of Monkeys is now owned by Hasbro. In 1965, Dinhofer found out that Marks and his new partner Herman Kesler, had brought the molds and the idea of the monkeys to Lakeside Toys, who then sold the idea of the Barrel of Monkeys. Marks and Dinhofer attempted to work toward selling their new creation, but after some failed attempts to get them on shelves and not enough resources to get them on television sets, their partnership and Chimp to Chimp ended. They made the first sample which included 12 monkeys, red, green and yellow, and was originally called “Chimp to Chimp”. Milton thought of making monkeys the links, red ones, that would hook on by the arms. This idea was dreamed up by Milton Dinhofer and Leonard Marks, who found fascination and entertainment in linking chains together. The monkey could be removed from the barrel and separated to be played with individually, or if the child wanted to use them as intended, they would use just one monkey to hook all of the other monkeys together by the arms. ![]() Potato Head received his full form, with the plastic parts and plastic potato being sold together.Ī classic 1960s toy, the Barrel of Monkeys were manufactured by Lakeside Toys in 1965. After about a decade of trials and sales, complaints began to arise from consumers and food regulators that mixing food and play together wasn’t sustainable. Other parts were developed as well, including arms, feet, and various accessories. The idea didn’t take off in the toy market right away due to the lack of food resources in the post-war age, but he did ultimately end up selling the toy to Hasbro in the early 1950s, and by 1952, these plastic parts were being sold in America. He began experimenting with plastics, and eventually created plastic push pin figures that were in the shape of different facial parts, like eyes, noses, mouths, ears. George Lerner, an artist from New York, wanted to find a way to make eating fruits and vegetables more appealing to children. Potato Head toy can be traced back all the way to 1949. Let’s take a look at some of the real toys of Toy Story. Toy Story is based in its present time, 1995, so many of Andy’s toys pre-date the movie. Though many of the gang were made up for the movie (like our 2 main friends, Woody and Buzz), a lot of Andy’s toys are replicas or inspired by toys that exist or once existed in real life. Who remembers going to McDonald’s and getting a happy meal just for the toy? Or opening your favourite box of cereal in the morning and digging for the surprise toy, DVD, or computer game at the bottom? The 1990s was notorious for having some of the best toys, so it was a no brainer for Pixar’s first movie to feature some of the audience’s favourite nostalgic toys. ![]() ![]() Trigger(USA)(TR)-0.6.zip Direct Download Link (version 0.Hot Chocolate Chrono Trigger Turkish Language Project Final script review and corrections by Vicks Dg have been added. In reviews of the game there are a lot of jokes about burning chairs, and some even put it on a par with "Bosch" and the like. Many people say about Darkest Dungeon that it is one of the most difficult games, that it is completely unfair, the players are practically mocked. To start, you need to completely rebuild the city, gather powerful trinkets, pump up to the maximum level, at least 16 heroes. The aim of the game is to pass the last dungeon - the darkest dungeon, and to pass it you do not have to pass the rest of the game, it is available from the beginning, but there are naturally very strong monsters and do not go there yet. And with the money you earn, send your heroes out to drink and play cards, otherwise they'll go crazy. Also in each sortie you need to collect supplies: food, torches, bandages, and antidotes. Alveoli with no perfusion have a V/Q of infinity (Q=0), whereas alveoli with no ventilation have a V/Q of 0 (V=0). It is then implied that V/VT represents the portion of a tidal volume that does not participate in gas exchange :ĭead space has particular significance in the concept of ventilation (V) and perfusion (Q) in the lung, represented by the V/Q ratio. Total ventilation (VE) is, therefore, the sum of alveolar ventilation (Valv) and VD:Įnghoff's equation compiles these variables with PaCO2, tidal volume (TV), and expired CO2 (PECO2). Thus:ĭead space ventilation (VD) is then calculated by multiplying VD-Phys by the respiratory rate (RR): Physiologic dead space (VD-Phys) is the sum of the anatomic (VD-Ana) and alveolar (VD-Alv) dead space. On the other hand, alveolar dead space refers to the volume of air in alveoli that are ventilated but not perfused, and thus gas exchange does not take place. These segments of the respiratory tract include the upper airways, trachea, bronchi, and terminal bronchioles. Īnatomic dead space specifically refers to the volume of air located in the respiratory tract segments that are responsible for conducting air to the alveoli and respiratory bronchioles but do not take part in the process of gas exchange itself. This is comprised of two segments: the anatomic dead space (parts of the airway that are not alveolar exchange membranes) and the alveolar dead space (alveoli that are ventilated but not perfused with pulmonary capillary blood flow). Structure and Functionĭead space of the respiratory system refers to the volume of inspired air in a given breath in which oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) gasses are not exchanged across the alveolar membrane in the respiratory tract. However, differences in the exact way of measuring this space result in clinically significant different results and, therefore, debate remains about the true value of this measured parameter. ![]() ![]() Indeed, it may serve as a prognostic factor in patients with acute repository distress syndrome (ARDS) who require ventilation. This phenomenon has clinical significance because, both in healthy and impaired lungs, properly calculating and accounting for this non-physiological space is important for the proper respiratory care of ventilated patients. ![]() This is therefore termed anatomical dead space as it serves no respiratory function. Anatomic dead space is an important phenomenon in respiratory physiology whereby, owing to the fact that upper airways do not function as locations for gas exchange, and because of the tidal nature of ventilation, there is always a fraction of the inspired air that does not perform a physiologic function of exchanging carbon dioxide for oxygen. ![]() This meant I couldn’t use the controls to go full-screen. Overall I say this program is a bit weaker than average, mainly because it's one huge recap of what you've seen in other documentaries and a tiny bit of low budget myth busters sprinkled in, except 70 % of the time they only show you myths but don't debunk them. ![]() This program focuses a lot on the violence of dinosaurs, which is alright but you won't learn much from it, yes you will learn how Velociraptor used it's claw, but on what prey, when or where or even that there may have been more than one use will remain a complete mystery to you. Another huge minus are the experiments themselves, yes for kids they are entertaining, but they hold no scientifically value, a guy using huge scissors to cut through a car is not the same as Tyrannosaurus bitting into a Triceratops. Steven's ranking is also weird at times, where he ranks certain dinosaurs much faster than others even though they were much slower in real life. This itself wouldn't be much of a deal if along with the animation the show didn't state as facts now debunked theories and inaccuracies in order to be able to reuse footage, best example is "Allosaurus using it's jaw as an axe", a theory that was heavily debated and proven wrong yet is stated as a fact.
